Tender description

The London Borough of Hackney is seeking suitably experienced and qualified providers to provide a Home Improvement Agency (HIA) Service for residents living in Hackney. There will be 1 contract awarded to a successful bidder and it is anticipated that the contract will be fully operational by 1.11.2016 and will continue for a period of 3 years from that date with an option to extend for up to 2 years (1 year plus 1 year). Suitably qualified organisations who have experience in delivering HIA services of local authorities are invited to submit a tender. The Home Improvement Agency will consist of 6 service elements: 1. Information and signposting on home improvement issues; 2. Property-based repairs and improvements; 3. Major adaptations in private sector/owner occupied and housing association properties; 4. Minor adaptations in private sector/owner occupied and housing association properties; 5. Home from Hospital Handy Persons service; 6.
