Tender description

The scheme to provide the extra accommodation has been developed in cooperation with school senior management team and governors. The proposal is for a rented temporary building comprising one classroom and group room. This is to be located at the front of the school on an area previously used for redundant accommodation and is intended to retain on site for approximately two years. In addition there is extensive internal remodelling of existing spaces to provide a full size KS1 classroom, and relocation and conversion of other spaces to provide new staffroom, extra hall storage, food tech room, withdrawal space and covered access through an unused internal courtyard area. The location and scope of the new build takes account of the school senior management requirements for managing and organising the school for the extra pupils. The location of the new build does not affect hard and soft play space or parking on the School site and the School retains its access to the team games playing field and team games courts.
