Tender description

DCC undertook a significant capital investment at 5 Fords WWTW plant in 2014/2015. The Gas to Grid element of the site is now managed by DCC Energy team. The investment included constructing a facility to export bio methane direct into the national gas network. The initial capital delivery project accounted for support and maintenance of 4 key infrastructure areas for 2 years after installation (up to September 2016). The following 4 main areas requiring maintenance are listed below: 1. screw compressor plant maintenance, 2. general pipework repairs and system purging, 3. membrane plant maintenance, 4. grid entry unit maintenance. The intention is to have 1 principal contractor who manages all elements of maintenance provision on behalf of DCC in line with agreed availability and performance KPIs and Service Levels. The main areas of maintenance are described below. The principal contractor will be entitled to sub-contract all of elements of the scope, subject to evidencing of suitable management procedures. Each element will require suppliers capable to provide the following services: planned maintenance against set KPIs and Service Levels; provision of relevant critical spares; reactive maintenance/call outs; M and E work. Scope of responsibilities will be for managing the maintenance and overhaul of all equipment associated with the G2G system on site, apart from the LPG Equipment (managed by Calor Gas), up to where the biogas train tees off from the biogas main supplying the CHP engines. A valve is located next to the CHO Siloxane scrubber which will act as the demarcation point for the eventual successful tenderer. The agreement will be for an initial 2 years, followed by 2 sets of 2 year. Interested parties are asked to contact the designated contacted listed in the notice.
