Tender description

Central Bedfordshire Council is inviting tenders (in electronic format only) to deliver highway grass cutting operations across the county. The work will be split into 5 lots, as follows. Suppliers may submit a bid for any or all of the lots: — Roadside grass, — Rights of Way, — ‘Specials’, where particular specifications apply to discrete locations, — Rights of Way Hedge Cutting and Spraying, — Sweeping of Off Road cycle routes. Contract Length: 2 years and 7 months + 1 year optional extension (at CBC discretion). Contract Start date: 1.4.2016. Contract End date: 31.10.2018. The estimated yearly budget for this contract is between 220 000 GBP and 260 000 GBP and is OJEU threshold using the Open procedure.
