The Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) covers the Local Authorities of Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, Plymouth City Council and Torbay Council. The purpose of the Growth Hub Service is to provide independent diagnosis and brokerage to existing business support services in the Region. The Growth Hub Service is made up of 3 Elements — this procurement exercise is for the first of those elements titled ‘Service for All’. Service for All — Awareness raising for publicly-funded business support in the region, marketing the growth hub, messaging to businesses, business intelligence regarding business support needs, mapping of business support, CRM, partnership management. Somerset County Council as Accountable Body for the HotSW LEP advertised the contract opportunity, and managed the procurement process to identify and appoint a suitably qualified economic operator. The initial contract period will be for 36 months, with 2 extension options of 12 months each at the sole discretion of the Council, dependant on performance and confirmation of funding streams. Funding for the contract delivery is subject to confirmation and amendment during the term of the contract. The initial funding for the contract has been confirmed from BIS Growth Hub funding to LEPs 2015-2016, with a 2nd funding amount confirmed from Growth Deal 2 allocations.
