Submarine Operating Centre - Support Partner

The Submarine Operating Centre (SM OC) within the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), seeks a single Support Partner for Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) and non-transactional Financial and Commercial project support functions, collectively known as Programme and Project Support (PPS). The role of the Support Partner will be to raise the performance of the SMOC in these functions by augmenting the outputs of internal Programme and Project Support staff to assist in the delivery of the Submarine Programme and to grow in-house PPS capability by improving processes and up-skilling internal staff. The Support Partner will be engaged under an enabling agreement and tasked by SM OC teams through a series of task and output based work packages under a call-off arrangements. Subject to additional approvals, the initial contract is likely to include a number of initial work packages such as: Task 1 – Evaluate the existing P3 framework and support the SM OC in developing and implementing improvements. Task 2 – Programme and Project Management support to Successor.
