Tender description

Liverpool City Council offer a unique sponsorship opportunity to have your brand on the largest bike hire scheme in the UK, outside of London, offering organisations the opportunity for a naming rights partnership with Liverpool City Council — the Citybike scheme has had no previous branding or genteelism associated with it. Our Vision is that Liverpool will be the fastest growing city for cycling where cycling is popular mainstream method of travel and physical activity and its cycle routes will be safe, convenient, accessible, comfortable and attractive for all users. Liverpool as a City wishes to partner with a brand that will support our step change to become the most active core city in England by 2021. We are looking for a brand that can support us with this. Proposed Sponsorship In order to defray the operational and developmental costs of the scheme, Liverpool City Council is seeking proposals from commercial interests for the provision of sponsorship for the City's bike hire scheme. Objectives of Sponsorship ‘To embed the bikes and the partner into the hearts and minds of the people and visitors of Liverpool, creating a cleaner, greener, healthier city’ The main objectives for sponsorship of the Citybike scheme are: — To contribute to the finances of Citybike to enable the cycle hire scheme to be self-financing. — To ensure that the cycle hire scheme is viable to run in the longer term. — To contribute to the promotion of the cycle hire scheme by way of more reference to the scheme through sponsorship. — To enable expansion of the cycle hire schemes into other parts of the City Region in the longer term. Partnership Opportunity. — Be the first partners to drive forward the step change of cycling activity in Liverpool. — To align your brand adjacent to every globally recognised Liverpool landmark (UNESCO waterfront/ listed buildings) as well as our famous streets. — To be a key part of the ‘Liverpool Active City’ initiative. — To be the first brand to take the Citybike scheme to the next level: experience, usage, recognition and innovation. The Offer What it could look like for you:- — Naming Rights — __________ CityBike. — Colour palette — street furniture/ station signage. — Bicycle branding. — Branding on the corporate card. — Branding and advertising collateral, PR and digital assets. — Corporate membership for the entire workforce. — Station branding including large scale branding at certain agreed bike station locations. — Enhanced core rights available for release as per negotiation.
