Tender description

The RAF is seeking to contract a web based Management Information System (MIS) for the RAF's No 22 Training Group Apprenticeships Management Team (AMT). The Royal Air Force (RAF) is seeking to contract a web based Management Information System (MIS) for the RAF's No 22 Training Group Apprenticeships Management Team (AMT) that will; facilitate timely and accurate individual learner record (ILR) Returns to the Skills Funding Authority, track Learner progression, provide evidence capture and assure detailed programme analysis. This four-year contract is anticipated to commence in January 2017 with two possible option years. It is Ministry of Defence (MoD) policy to deliver a minimum of a Level 2 civilian accredited qualification to all recruits. The chosen method for this is by the current Government approved apprenticeship scheme; RAF AMT currently manages over 2 500 Learners located at 14 Ground Training Schools (GTS) and 28 Main Operating Bases (MOBs) across the UK. The successful tender will need to satisfy the following criteria: The contract provider will be required to attend and deliver user training at a number of RAF facilities to approximately 100 system operators at locations across the UK. The contractor will be compliant or hold ISO/IEC 27001 certification or equivalent. The contractor will be expected to provide contract through life support. A two month minimum transition and development period prior to the start of the contract is also required to allow a smooth transition from the legacy system to the new MIS, ensuring the stability and management continuity of the RAF Apprenticeships Scheme through a proven and government approved MIS.
