Tender description

UCD wishes to engage a company to to automate certain veterinary diagnostics services. This involves image capture with a mobile device, which will then be sent via an app to a cloud based centralised processing location to be digitally analysed and processed, and the results of the test returned to a smartphone device for appropriate action. The core deployment of services and technology for this project should be based on FIWARE LAB. This will support the APIs, integration with FIspace services, processing of sample data and integration with communication services to the smartphone apps. FIWARE LAB is a pre commercial environment so, operationally, it is planned to move to a production environment as soon as one either becomes available (there are a number of infrastructure partners testing commercial deployments of FIWARE technology) or to use an existing cloud provider to host the technology. Detailed requirements are as stated in the attached tender document. This contract has now been awarded to Waterford Institute of Technology.
