Tender description

The current Business Gateway service was transferred to Local Authorities on 1.4.2008. Business Gateway is a national brand under which local authorities have responsibility to deliver a number of core activities to business across the whole of Scotland. In addition, a number of local ‘bespoke’ business supports are delivered across local authority regions. The current contract in Lanarkshire ends on 30.9.2016 and this Prior Information Notice (PIN) provides early notification of a future contract opportunity for the provision of this service and an invite for potential providers to participate in a pre-procurement engagement event(the Event). North Lanarkshire Council (the Council) as lead local authority for Business Gateway (across both North and South Lanarkshire Council areas) would welcome the opportunity to discuss the provision of Business Gateway services / supports from 1.10.2016, with potential providers and an Event has been arranged for Wednesday 13.4.2016 from 10:30 to 11:30 at New College Lanarkshire, Board Room, 3rd floor, Motherwell Campus, 1 Enterprise Way, Motherwell, ML1 2TX. Providers interested in participating in the upcoming procurement for delivery of this service are invited to attend. Please confirm your interest in attending the Event by e-mailing bainj@northlan.gov.uk for the attention of Yvonne McBride; Business services Team Leader, no later than midday on Friday 8.4.2016. An agenda for the Event will be issued to all confirmed attendees 3 days prior to the date of the Event. The estimated contract value is 1 450 000 GBP per annum with potential to draw down additional external funding including EU (ERDF) funding for services to be delivered across the whole of Lanarkshire. The Council reserves the right to cancel the Event if insufficient numbers of providers register to attend. Please note that the PIN is not a call for competition, should the Council decide to progress to procurement a Contract Notice will be published, at a future date, in the Official Journal of the European Union and on the Public Contracts Scotland internet portal, potential providers should follow the instructions provided in the Contract Notice.
