Tender description

The RA-MAP consortium is a public-private collaborative project into early Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and was formed in December 2011 as a part of the MRC/ABPI Inflammation and Immunology Initiative. The purpose of this tender is to establish a single operator framework agreement for the provision of small RNA sequencing services. It is envisaged that between 400 and 1 000 samples will be sequenced during this framework agreement. Suppliers must be able to demonstrate the ability to produce accurate sequence data using Illumina Hiseq 2 500 next generation sequencing technology. The services are required for a research project and the use of the specified technology is required to ensure compatibility with existing data sets. However, no warranty can be given or implied regarding the exact number of samples to be sequenced which is dependent upon the clinical data linked to the samples.
