Rossendale Borough Council has successfully been awarded funding under The Department of Transport's Clean Bus Technology Fund and for itself and the benefit of Rossendale Transport Limited, Rossendale Borough Council is seeking to appoint an experienced service provider to retrofit and modify 38 buses to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and utilise clean bus technology. Rossendale Borough Council has successfully been awarded funding under The Department of Transport's Clean Bus Technology Fund and for itself and the benefit of Rossendale Transport Limited, Rossendale Borough Council is seeking to appoint an experienced service provider to retrofit and modify 38 buses to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and further compliance with achieving European Union Air Quality Standards by particular reference to achieving Euro 6 NOx and PM capability and with the proposed technology reducing the NOx emissions from the tailpipe by at least 50 percent under normal driving conditions.
