Tender description

The system will form part of the Birmingham Sequencing Centre, which consists of multiple Illumina HiSeq, NextSeq and MiSeq machines providing sequencing capabilities to the University of Birmingham. The instruments will be purchased for the University of Birmingham Sequencing Facility. The instrument must be capable of performing targeted amplicon resequencing using a IFC type system. An additional instrument must be capable of isolation and preparation of single cell based sequencing libraries. Specification 1. An automated instrument capable of isolation, processing and preparation of single cells to undergo library preparation for next generation sequencing. 2. An automated instrument capable of automated next generation sequencing library preparation of multiple samples for targeted amplicon resequencing.
