Tender description

Aberdeen City Council, the administering authority for the Aberdeen City Council Transport Fund,provision of a dynamic de-risking solution for the Aberdeen City Council Transport Fund. The De-Risking Solution is long term solution to deliver the Authorities long term objective of making the Transport Fund self-sufficient so as to have sufficient assets to meet liabilities, for example via a buy out or buy in, without additional support being required from the Sponsoring Employer (beyond that already agreed in the Recovery plan currently in place.) The solution should enable the Transport Fund to access the type of investment diversification and specialisation enjoyed by the North East Scotland Pension Fund without requiring excess resources from the administering authority. Partnership-working is required with both Aberdeen City Council Pension Fund staff and the scheme actuary to agree the nature of the De-Risking Solution to be adopted and the on-going application of the solution.
