Tender description
The Informatics Strategy (2014-2019) for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust has identified the deployment of an electronic Chemotherapy prescribing and administration solution as 1 of its key objectives. Therefore, The Trust is calling for expressions of interest to this Prior Information Notice from suitably qualified organisations to supply and implement an eChemotherapy system. The ideal vendor will: — Offer extensive proven experience of implementing an NHS compliant Chemotherapy Prescribing and Administration system in the UK; — Have a customer-focused attitude to providing support and issue resolution; — Show an ability to deliver improvements and implement change in a regular, controlled and agile process; — Have an appreciation of Clinical Trial specific requirements; — Provide demonstrable system SACT compliant reporting; — Demonstrate flexible, locally configurable functionality in prescribing, scheduling and administration of all areas of chemotherapy and associated supportive therapies; — Look to partner with the Trust to develop a wholly integrated electronic prescribing suite of systems. The vendor is expected to bring several areas of expertise and resource to the contract, including: — Dedicated testing resources and a rigorous quality assurance processes; — Helpdesk support (e.g. ITIL based) with full Service Level Agreement within agreed service credits; — Proven experience in system integration (i.e. HL7); — Roadmap detailing planned development of new functionality and time-scales. The Chemotherapy prescribing system will ideally interface with the following: — Hospital Patient Administration System (Medway); — Pharmacy Manufacturing System (CIVAS); — Pharmacy Stock Control System (Medicines Management v5.1); — Non-Chemotherapy prescribing System (EPMA v5.1); — External Supplier Manufacturing System (Merlin); — Laboratory Information Management System (TD-Synergy); — Scheduling System (Mosaiq); — Clinical Web Portal (CWP — internally developed). It should be noted that this engagement exercise in no way guarantees that a procurement exercise will be run at a later date. At this stage the purpose is to gather information and any organisations that participate do so at their own risk.
