Tender description

The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CER was established in 1999 and now has a wide range of economic, customer protection and safety responsibilities in energy. The CER is also the regulator of Ireland’s public water and wastewater system. The CER wishes to appoint a Service Provider to supply and install a new unified communications digital phone system that can replace our existing architecture. The hardware, software, phones, licenses, support and maintenance along with implementation plans and training should all be included in the tender. The product ultimately delivered by the Service Provider must reflect and allow for variations in the specifications in this documentation. The CER acknowledges that the product each candidate organisation proposes may differ from the minimum specifications as set out by the CER, and each candidate organisation is free to propose alternatives and variations to these specifications. Any variances from the specification must meet or exceed the level of performance required by the specification. The CER has one site based in Tallaght. There are approx. 105 individual phone users that will require new handsets, 1 reception area that will require an operators console and 10 meeting rooms that will require conference phones similar to the existing spider phones. 5 additional phones will be required for common rooms. In this regard, the proposal will be based on 121 users.
