Tender description

To commission a Renal transport service that operates a dedicated crew to renal patients in Doncaster and Bassetlaw, operating within the commissioned hours, however the service must be responsive to fluctuations in demand, both from day-to-day and a longer term basis. To commission a service that will transport renal patients to up to 1 of the 2 sites within South Yorkshire, to their home address or stated address if staying with family or carer, including patients whose permanent residence is at a residential or nursing home. The reason for this VEAT notice is to extend the current agreement until 31.3.2017. This is to give the CCG and potentially other CCG's an opportunity to complete a strategic review of patient transport services across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw. The aim is to go to full OJEU compliant tender after the review has been completed and recommendation have been approved by the relevant governing bodies once the CCG/S have had an opportunity to complete a full review and draft a comprehensive and relevant specification. The time scales for this will be published in subsequent publications.
