NOTE: This notice was updated on 11 February 2016 for the following reason: Colchester Borough Council have withdrawn this opportunity and it will be re-advertised in due course.Colchester Borough Homes requires a suitably experienced contractor to complete various building maintenance and repair works to the Natural History Museum (formerly church of All Saints), which is a Grade II Listed Building of Historical Importance with a late C12 nave, C14 chancel, and C16 west tower with knapped flint work. Holy Trinity Church is a Grade I Listed Building of Historical Importance. The tower was built on to an earlier church of circa 1000, of which only the west wall remains. The rest of the building is largely C14 and C15. Both of these sites are within a conservation areas, and the buildings are both listed for their historical importance, therefore, the contractor will be required to exercise all due care at all times. The sites are both located close to a busy Town Centre, and is surrounding by buildings of mixed use. The Building Maintenance and repair work comprises: (1) Roof Repairs, (2) Stonework Repairs, (3) Timber repairs, (4) Redecoration & (5)Paving repairs (plus other associated works)
