Tender description

Main Contractor required in connection with the provision of a new building to be utilised as a centre for innovation with supporting office, academic and lab space. The contract will be based on the NEC3 Option B form of contract will incorporate Building Information Modelling (BIM) from the outset and utilise the Government Soft Landings (GSL) programme as the project concludes. The building will house items of scientific equipment, dedicated, laboratories, test facilities, clean rooms, data visualisation and remote presence suite, collaborative meeting space, academic offices for staff and students and a big data centre. The site chosen for the Innovation Centre sits within a Local Enterprise Zone and the Local Authority has indicated there would be no objection in principle to the project, but further discussions will be required. The estimated construction value of the project is between 4 800 000 GBP and 5 200 000 GBP excluding VAT.
