Research into the capacity of Local Authorities to accelerate the productive use of assets

From the data DCLG collects and existing studies DCLG has been able to undertake some qualitative research into the extent of overall land and assets values within local authorities, who may have been selling assets recently or getting an income from properties and potential benefits to local authorities of further asset rationalisation. The purpose of this proposed case study research is to supplement the data and evidence we can already access in house, and initial qualitative assessment, to give an overall picture of local authority assets.
