Public Health Healthy Homes Advice & Referral Service

Tender description

In this present instance, ESPO is working on behalf of Leicestershire County Council to undertake a procurement process to identify and appoint a service provider of a healthy homes advice and referral Service. The objectives of service are that it should: • Provide an effective service which offers a trusted source of advice and support to enable people to say warm in their homes. • Ensure increased awareness among professionals and the community of the health risks of living in cold homes. • Promote improved access to other housing related support services. • Undertake a Health Needs Assessment of excess winter deaths and mortality for Leicestershire. This should include undertaking customer insight work to assess current and previous experience of local services. • Provide those who access the service with comprehensive energy advice and/or provide help to switch energy supplier or get a cheaper tariff. This contract shall be established for the sole use of the residents of Leicestershire. The budget is £100K per annum, with a fixed term of 1 year, and an optional extension up to 1 further year.
