Tender description

Southend-on-Sea Borouh Council (SBC) wishes to appoint a provider to supply, install, commission and test a Hybrid Cloud Data Centre capability. The provider will be responsible for specifying the design and components to be used and warrant the operation of the solution once it is implemented. Note that the Council will make separate arrangements for the running of the Hybrid Cloud Data Centre, however should these involve outsourced services, the provider of this contract will be eligible to tender for such services. Through the concept of the Hybrid Cloud Data Centre SBC wishes its infrastructure to serve as a catalyst for contributing to its Digital Strategy which aims to deliver real benefits to communities and businesses across the Borough of Southend-on-Sea. These benefits are expected to include the agility to rapidly provide additional and/or cheaper services to citizens, public sector services and businesses. In a similar way the provider is expected to show how its approach will return Social Value as a result of this contract.
