Installation of Ceiling Firebreaks at Kingsdown School, Southend on Sea

Tender description

Southend Borough Council requires a contractor to install ceiling firebreaks at Kingsdown School, Southend on Sea. The works will include installation of firebreaks from false ceiling to roof along either side of the corridors on a single storey school building. The void above the ceiling does not exceed 600mm. The firebreak can be in rockwool fire blanket or ½ hour fire rated plasterboard. All services passing through the break will need to be sealed with a ½ hour fire rated product. The successful contractor may be required to replace non fire rated glass in corridor walls Comprehensive drawings and a schedule of works will be issued to contractors who express an interest and the works will be carried out under a JCT Minor Works Contract. The quotations will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 80% for price and 20% for quality. Please submit your request to quote no later than 12 noon on 8th December 2015. We anticipate the quotes will be sent out on 8th December 2015 with a return date of 6th January2016.
