AFFORDABLE HOUSING - DEMONSTRATION PROJECT

Tender description

Carlisle City Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Housing providers to develop and manage affordable housing on four Council owned sites. The Council is running two separate tendering exercises for these sites as follows:- Lot 1 o Beverley Rise (2.15 hectares / estimated no. of units: 30 - 40). Lot 2 o Greta Avenue (0.4 hectares / anticipated no. of units: 13-17) o Raffles Avenue (0.17 hectares / anticipated no. of units: 8) o Wood Street (size 0.22 hectares / anticipated no. of units: 4). Applicants are invited to select whether they wish to tender for Lot 1, Lot 2 at the start of the Selection of Housing Partner questionnaire (please tick both boxes if you wish to apply for both Lots). More detailed information and a plan for each site is included in the Invitation to Tender pack. The Demonstration Project is a joint initiative between Carlisle City Council and Carlisle College, and a requirement of the Project is that the successful Housing partner(s) will provide practical development training and experience to trainees from Carlisle College on each of these four sites, in accordance with the College’s skills and training requirements.
