Ground Investigation Contract

Tender description

Detailed ground investigation contract for the N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project and the N59 Kilmeena to Barleyhill Road Project. Ground investigation works will be undertaken along the N5 over a length of 22km approximately. Ground investigation works will be undertaken along the N59 over a length of 5.3km approximately. The works will involve the drilling of cable percussion and rotary core boreholes, excavation of trial pits, excavation of slit trenches, pavement coring, dynamic probing, geophysical surveying, temporary traffic management, in-situ testing, laboratory testing and production of a factual report and a geophysical surveying report. The Contractor shall act as PSCS for the duration of the works. Tenderers should note that other activities will be undertaken at the same time as the ground investigation. These activities include electricity service diversions, archaeological investigations, fencing works and a topographical survey.
