Tender description

The Council is seeking a contract to manage specified waste infrastructure in the Authority area. The Contract is for Lot 1, details of the lot is as follows: Lot 1: Household Waste Recycling Centre Management Contract The Council is seeking a Contractor to manage and operate its four Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). This will include the provision of management, day to day operation including recycling and recovery services, routine maintenance and transportation of all Contract waste from the sites to a nominated and/or agreed final disposal facilities, Waste Transfer Stations or re processing facilities. Bidders should note the Authority will be seeking to redeveloped its network of HWRCs during the early part of the contract term, this is a separate procurement and will not form part of this contract. The anticipated contract start date is the 1st April 2015. The Contract term is 7.5 years with another 7.5 years possible extension period. The total tonnage collected at the Authoritys four HWRCs in 2013/14 was 28, 038 tonnes.
