Local Authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups are legally required to provide equipment to meet the health and social care needs of their population and therefore have a shared interest in the funding, management and distribution of community equipment for vulnerable and/or disabled people. To enhance the control environment further Commissioners have recommended that a new IT solution/platform would support CES to provide the service more effectively and make it easier for them to collate information and for Commissioners to build an evidence base, audit and manage services.
