Tender description

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (“DECC”), seeks to appoint a supplier to determine optimal and ‘least regrets’ additional flexibility on the GB energy system. The project should examine different flexibility technologies - conventional generation, interconnection, storage, demand side response (DSR) and smarter network management. The project will build upon previous research commissioned by DECC and Ofgem on the benefits of further interconnection as well as research commissioned by DECC to quantify the scale of the balancing challenge.
