Traffic Signalling Specialist

RPA has a requirement for a traffic signalling specialist consultant to provide engineering consulting services on the Luas Cross City (‘LCC’) project together with a range of other projects that may arise in relation to the existing Luas lines and Bus Rapid Transit. LCC comprises of the next phase in the development of Luas. It is a 5.6km line extending from the current terminus of the ‘Green Line’ at St. Stephen’s Green through the city centre and onwards to the north-west inner city suburbs, terminating at an interchange station on the suburban railway line at Broombridge. LCC travels through the city centre interacting with some significant existing traffic junctions. Traffic signal controlled junctions, including control of trams, will be required at 32 new or existing junctions. Works on Luas Cross City have commenced and it is envisaged that the new line will commence operations at the end of 2017.
