Tender description

– The aim of the project is to develop a robust body of evidence for defining Best Available Techniques for both new and existing Balancing Market plant. The project outputs will help mitigate the risk of the Environment Agency setting disproportionate constraints on these types of plant within environmental permits, which would create a barrier to investment for developers considering investing in new balancing plant and lead to the inefficient utilisation of existing plant, thereby contributing towards the delivery of DECC’s objectives on security of supply affordability and sustainability.
