Tender description
On the 18 June 2015 the Big Lottery Fund launched our Women and Girls Initiative (WGI). This is a £48.5 million funding initiative that will work with organizations to empower women and girls to take control of their lives (More information about this initiative can be found here: https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/global-content/programmes/england/women-and-girls-initiative. We are putting the production of better quality evidence for what works in empowering women and girls at the heart of this initiative and require all grant applicants for this initiative to clearly set out their plans for their learning and evaluation priorities. With this in mind we are seeking to procure a service provider that will provide some initial learning and evaluation support to our grant applicants. We will require the service provider to work with approximately 100 grant applicants before they submit a full application to WGI to help them to think through their learning and evaluation priorities and how they can achieve these. The Big Lottery Fund is looking for a service provider that will work with staff at the Fund and all the organisations applying for funding from WGI (applicants), to support discussions around learning and evaluation. The Fund would expect the service provider to support them to think through where on their evidence journey they are and what makes most sense for them to focus through this opportunity. This could include for example ensuring robust data collection processes are in place to monitor effectively what they are doing; measuring the difference their project is trying to make; learning about what works, for whom and how; or filling gaps in the existing evidence base that will aide their sustainability in the future. Further details about this opportunity is provided in the attached ITT and our procurement page - https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/about-big/tender-opportunities The tender return deadline - 12:00 Noon on 9th September 2015
