Inclusion on Bury Council's Framework of Approved Operators for the provision of Home to School & College Transport

Tender description

Bury Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced operators to be included on the framework agreement to provide transport for children and young adults with special educational needs to schools and colleges both within and outside the borough of Bury. The passengers using this service will have a range of additional needs; learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties, sensory, hearing and visual difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder or physical disability. A passenger escort will be allocated to a schedule where required to accompany the passengers on their journey to and from school or college. However, some passengers are able to travel unaccompanied. The contract is for the period 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2018 with an option to extend for a further twelve months.
