Tender description

Re-Roofing, insulating and parapet wall refurbishment of Sheldon Fire Station. The proposed start date is 1st September 2015 with completion by 16th October 2015. A brief description of the works is shown below with full details at Appendix 4 (Specification/Schedule of works). Roof A The works involve removing defective mortar and re-pointing using a flexible lead mastic to upstands and removal of rubbish items. Roof B The works involve removing and replacing approximately 336M2 existing mastic asphalt flat roof covering, upstands, insulation and four number roof lights and replacing with new 3 layer felt system incorporating 130mm flat board insulation, replacing 4 number roof lights and waterproofing approximately 80LM of parapet walls Roof C The works involve removing and replacing loose mortar and defective asphalt upstands applying timber ply/OSB and applying new flat roof waterproofing covering to approximately 76LM parapet wall.
