RFP for the development of a Knowledge and Document Management System (KDMS)

Tender description

GIB intends to implement a best in class Knowledge and Document Management system (KDMS) appropriate to an organisation of its scale and complexity. It views document (and email) management as being the first ‘building block’ of any appropriate KDMS. This foundation will then be augmented by the formalisation of tasks and workflows, and the standardisation and visualisation of data. The final building block to the KDMS will be a formalised approach to Knowledge Management – this will be via tools to capture both explicit and tacit knowledge. GIB invites suitably qualified developers to put forward their proposals to meet this growing business need. It is anticipated that the system will be fully deployed by the end of the year having gone through an initial pilot using one or more business areas. Further rollout of the system will be dependent on successful completion of the pilot phase.
