Clare County Council is seeking tenders for the procurement of its main Personal Protective Clothing & Equipment requirements

Clare County Council is seeking tenders for the procurement of its main Personal Protective Clothing & Equipment requirements for a period of 12 months from August 2015 to July 2016. However, if a national tender is put in place through the Office of Government Procurement Clare County Council reserves the right to terminate this contract and purchase all PPE through the national tender. It is emphasised that the continuation of the contract beyond the one year period will be contingent upon the successful delivery of the initial contract. Clare County Council is using the Open Procedure for this tender, which means that any interested party can submit a tender. Valid tenders submitted in accordance with the Request for Tenders and received before the stated deadline will be assessed on the basis of the eligibility criteria and award criteria set out in Section 5. Tenderers are requested to review this document in detail and ensure that they have addressed all of the relevant requirements in their tender. Clare County Council is inviting suitably qualified providers to supply and deliver Protective Clothing, Footwear and Personal Protective Equipment (e.g. rainwear, protective footwear, gloves etc). All Clare County Council Departments are included in the scope of this Framework. The spend in 2014 on Protective Clothing & Equipment was €125,000 approximately. Clare County Council has approximately 400 employees who will require PPE. PPE clothing and footwear is replaced on an annual basis or when there is a change in standard. Quantities have been outlined for the purposes of pricing in Section 4.4 of the tender documentation. Clare County Council cannot guarantee specific volumes of sales and reserves the right to go outside of the contract to source specific Personal Protective Clothing & Equipment requirements should this be necessary.
