Provision of an Online Electronic School Meal Payment System

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Contractor to deliver a web based online electronic payment system for school meals within its Primary Schools. It is envisaged that approximately 130-150 Primary Schools (39,000 - 45,000 pupils) within the Bradford district will utilise this system. Key stakeholders will include the Council, Schools and Parents/Guardians Any system must be readily accessible to all and be able to provide information on current balances in addition to both a history of payments and where appropriate of free meal eligibility both via benefits and via the Universal Infants Free school meal scheme. Ability to link with SIMS is essential as is the ability to provide the requisite guarantees regarding information security, data protection etc.In respect of implementation; the service envisages the training in of staff in the use of the system on a group basis; rather than one to one; and then being able to cascade such knowledge via super users. This training to be supplemented by the provision of an on line remote training package accessible to all users which along with provision of suggested training should be included within your price along with telephone support etc. Additional one to one training provided at the request of either the service or the school to be priced for, provided and charged for separately as per the rates quoted in the pricing schedule.
