GMIT Science Laboratory Refurbishment Fit Out Summer 2015: This project involves converting a number of rooms into practical labs, a computer lab, a preparation room and an office. There are also some modifications to other existing labs to accommodate new service requirements. The majority of the work is concentrated in one block but there are some works which are more remote from this block (see site layout). This will be a turnkey project which will be ready to move into upon completion. The main elements involved are as follows: • Electrical alterations. • Mechanical alterations. • Demolitions. • Construction of new walls / formation of door opes • Electrical fitout (power, lighting, data) • Installation of suspended ceilings • Decoration. • Floor finishes. • Installation of furniture (benching, shelving & storage units). • Installation of Blackout blinds. GMIT: Additional Award Option - GMIT determine the right to award an additional option for the Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning & Associated Building Works for Fume Hoods Associated with this project. This Additional Award option is at the sole discretion of the GMIT subject to terms and conditions, and availability of funding.
