Tender description

Provision of a Nursery Milk Reimbursement Unit The Department of Health sought tenders for the provision of a registration and reimbursement service to child care services who provide free milk to children attending for more than two hours per day and wish to claim payment for this milk through the Welfare Food Scheme. This contract replaces an existing service which operates in England, Scotland and Wales only, with registration/reimbursement of childcare providers in Northern Ireland managed separately by DHSSPSNI.to be continued. The scheme has around 55 000 registered settings, of which around 48 000 seek reimbursement within any 12 month period. The contract is for 1 year with an option to extend for a further six months up to two times.
