Tender description

The intention outlined in this specification is the establishment of activity based programmes which form part of a package of interventions delivered by The Authority and it’s partners, aimed at preventing young people age 14 to 17 years from entering or re entering care. The primary aim of this service is to reduce the number of young people who enter or re enter care. It has been proven that early intervention in such cases has led to a young person successfully staying in the family environment. The successful providers will work with: Children and Family Support Workers whose role is to: Manage referrals of young people to programmes. Attend & Support Activities. Coordinate volunteers to provide mentoring and family support. Act as central point for monitoring and coordination of the various interventions for each young person. Volunteers to mentor and support young people including support to attend activity programmes. Family Support including ‘Short Breaks’.
