Roof Replacement at Matford Livestock Centre - Exeter

Expressions of interest are sought from contractors of proven experience to carry out the replacement of the roof covering at the Matford Centre in Exeter. The facility is a large livestock centre and comprises of 4 different roofs for cattle, sheep, pigs and a main concourse area with exhibition area, offices and auction rings. The works are to comprise of the removal and disposal of existing non-asbestos fibre cement roofing and rooflights and installation of new plastisol type colour coated steel roofing sheets. The 3 livestock shed roofs will be single skin roofing and rooflights, with consideration to be given to the main concourse area being a double skin insulated roof with plastisol liner and double skin rooflights. The works will be designed to accommodate a photovoltaic installation by others with integrated permament safe access for maintenance. The contract is provisionally due to commence in August / September 2015 with an approximate value of £900,000.00 Expressions of interest are to be sent to: ralm@exeter.gov.uk and must be received no later than Friday 26th June 2015. Pre qualification questionnaires will be issued on Monday 29th June 2015. Completed pre qualification questionnaires must be received no later than Thursday 9th July 2015.
