Provision of Firewalls (including ongoing maintenance and support) for the HRB

Tender description

• The Health Research Board is the lead agency in Ireland supporting and funding health research. The Health Research Board (HRB) is based in Grattan House, Mount St, Dublin 2.(Ground, First and Second floors) • Our office networks are based on the Ethernet 802.3 standard with UTP cabling (Cat 6e). Our server infrastructure is virtualised using Vmware. • File and print services are provided on Windows Server 2008/2012. Application services are provided on MS Windows Server 2008 and 2012. The HRB operates a Wide Area Network (WAN) with an Active Directory structure. • Windows 7 is the current standard desktop operating system in the HRB. The primary software applications in use are MS Office (including Outlook and Exchange) and SPSS. Sophos is used for virus protection, web admin and mobile device management. • Other relevant applications include Pointsec encryption, Sharepoint, Ironport, Unified messaging, VOIP, Meraki wifi, Fortinet firewall and vpn, Veeam, Cisco switches/routers including Call Manager. The HRB currently has 65 staff. • A comprehensive set of outsourced contracts (Managed Services) provide specialised support across a range of functional areas. (Firewall, Networks (Wan/Lan), Printing, Hardware etc)
