ITT for the provision of Storage, Virtualization and Backup Environment

Tender description

The University of Wolverhampton were seeking to establish a contract for the supply of Storage, Virtualization and Backup Environment. The University has approved a significant change in strategic transformation under a Digital Campus programme. Essential to this is a robust IT infrastructure including a storage environment, virtualization platform and a comprehensive backup environment. The University is moving from traditional on premises IT to a hybrid delivery model. The most immediate requirement is the replacement of the storage platform, virtualisation layer and the backup environment. In addition, there is an essential need to document a forward looking technical architecture for the storage and virtualization environment. This Contract will be let for a period of 5 years (with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties).
