Employer Support for Apprenticeship Creation and Improvement Project

Apprenticeships are an important route to employment for Southwark residents and a key strategy for growth in SMEs and large employers. The Council invites bids for the delivery of a project within a budget envelope of £120,000 over two years, to support Southwark-based businesses in the creation and improvement of apprenticeships. The Council is seeking providers of employer engagement and support services for apprenticeship creation and improvement to develop the Council’s relationships with local businesses and to source/ facilitate apprenticeship opportunities. The provider should aim to complement existing provision contracted by the Council, such as the Southwark Works framework, and that provided by statutory agencies. Providers must demonstrate an excellent track record in delivering high quality employer engagement and support services for apprenticeship creation and improvement and preferably have considerable experience of delivering similar services in Southwark.
