Tender description

DBS is seeking to engage suitably qualified, professional safeguarding service provider(s) to provide expert advice to assist DBS caseworkers to make fair, consistent and robust decisions on whether to include or remove a person from a list of people barred from working or volunteering in regulated activity with children or vulnerable adults. The services required are expert advisory services and risk assessmment services in relation to child protection and adult safeguarding. Service providers may submit proposals in relation to the provision of professional services for child protection or for adult safeguarding. DBS is also seeking a service provider with experience in the assessment of abusive offenders. Where proposals are limited to children, adults or assessment of abusive offender, DBS may seek to appoint several service providers to ensure service provision cover all requirements.
