Coventry University College is committed to providing all of its students the opportunity to become ‘global’ graduates with an understanding of cultures, languages and belief systems other than their own, so they may make a positive contribution to an increasingly multi-cultural, connected and complex world. Our internal Careers and Employability Service was launched in January 2015 to provide students with information advice and guidance on the skills needed to secure important placements and graduate jobs at the end of their programme. Jobs Brokerage Service/ Employer engagement • Building relationships with employers which could inform future curriculum delivery, further enhancing outcome and funding opportunities. • Balance engagement activities against curriculum need, e.g. securing work placement opportunities and balancing student demand for part-time work against their learning commitments. • Employer engagement to secure job vacancies • Learner engagement to encourage ambition and participation in job search • Matching and preparing students for vacancies through tailored intervention. Enhance CUCs employability reputation with learners, employers and other stakeholders.
