Appointment of Tourism Consultant for the creation of a new strategic approach to tourism for Cheltenham

The ambition for Cheltenham is to grow its visitor (tourism) economy and to fulfil its potential as a tourist destination in its own right, but also with regard to the nationally and internationally recognised Cotswolds destination brand. As a local authority we have a vision for Cheltenham which is about delivering the best quality of life for our people and we believe that “making the town a world class cultural and learning centre which is outward looking and welcoming to visitors” is a crucial element to create a vibrant future for our town. We are looking to develop a new and sustainable strategic approach to Cheltenham’s tourism offer which encapsulates the very best of what the town has traditionally to offer whilst at the same time challenging and refreshing visitors’ perceptions of Cheltenham as a destination.
