Business Coaching is about helping Managers* become more effective by positively influencing their adaptability and productivity. The process of Business Coaching enables learning and development to occur and in doing so, performance to improve. In the increasingly changing times of the Local Authority sector, the learning and development programme established in the Training section of the Human Resources Department of Clare County Council, realises the need for a Business Coaching resource, which can provide support to Managers. In this regard, the Training Section seeks the services of an external Professional Business Coach to meet the following key objectives: To provide support for Managers with particular emphasis on the management of Staff to include communications with Staff as well as working with behaviours and attitudes To assist Managers to set objectives consistent with Organisation and Departmental goals To provide support to Managers with the implementation and operation of the PMDS (Performance Management and Development System), in particular end of year evaluation meetings To enable Managers to seek an independent and objective perspective on particular work activities / project delivery / pressure points within their workload To provide support to Managers in making presentations / providing training To give focus to Managers on their work / life balance To support Managers to effectively manage change and become more strategy focussed The services of the Professional Business Coach will also extend to working on the following elements with Managers where there is a requirement to do so: Confidence building; Interpersonal skills; Empowerment; Self awareness Contract awarded to Ignite Executive Coaching, Suite 5, Third Floor, Ross House, Merchant's Road, Galway.
