HISTORIC ENGLAND: ALTERATIONS TO THE VENTILATION SYSTEM IN CONSERVATION LABORATORY AND PHOTO AREA

We are Historic England, the public body that champions and protects England’s historic environment, from the prehistoric to the post-War. On 1 April we changed our name from English Heritage, and the English Heritage Trust, a new charity, took over the care of the National Heritage Collection. We are seeking tenders for Alterations to the Ventilation system serving the Conservation Laboratory and the Photo Area at our offices in the Engine House Swindon. Works will include: Protection of the working areas, especially within the Conservation Laboratory. De-gassing and approved disposal of the R22 refrigerant gas that serves the heat pump facility within the Photo Area AHU. Removal and disposal of the existing heat pump coil assembly within the Photo Area AHU. Labelling of the existing heat pump external coils arrangement within the Photo Area extract plant that it has been disconnected. Termination and labelling of the existing Photo Area refrigerant pipes as redundant Replacement of the heat pumps serving the Photo Area AHU with new to provide heating or cooling.
