Local Authorities within the West Midlands are considering establishing a Combined Authority within the region. Several workstreams of activity have been established to progress this proposal. One of the workstreams relates to establishing the interventions required in the proposed Combined Authority area to support the delivery of key development projects and wider economic growth. Partners across the West Midlands region have been working collaboratively for many years on transport, economic development and regeneration initiatives and as a result there is already a significant amount of information contained in relevant strategies, policies and plans. This commission seeks consultancy support to utilise these existing information sources to identify the key regional and sub-regional development/infrastructure projects in the Combined Authority area with the potential to make a significant economic impact and any interventions required to support their delivery.
