Tender description

The University seeks to appoint a contractor to undertake enabling works for the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre building. In order to allow the main construction works to progress with least inherent risk, an enablement package of works has been developed. This includes the following elements: • Permanent perimeter fencing / hoarding lines • Site establishment, inclusive of service connections • Demolition of the existing Faraday Undergraduate Building • Demolition of the existing Link Bridge (partial with making good) • Demolition of the Microporous Materials Building • Demolition of various out buildings • Excavation and disposal of spoil to a reduced level (including potentially contaminated ground) • Traffic flow diversions and signage • General site preparation and investigation
